What makes good teams great? Leadership! In any endeavor, if two equal teams compete, the difference between winning and losing is leadership.
As an experienced leader and coach I know how crucial leadership is. I also know that no matter how good you are at leading, it can be hard. And lonely.
Shortly after retiring from the Army and starting on the road to recovery from burnout, I rediscovered my passion in professional coaching where I put my love of people, teamwork, and lifelong study of leadership into practice. As a former advisor to General Officers and a commander at the company and battalion level, I bring a wealth of knowledge to any coaching relationship. What I love about coaching is helping clients become better leaders, team builders, and speakers.
Are you an emerging leader who just got the title and supervisory responsibility?
It’s a lot to take on–you are responsible for other employees and the performance of the team, not just your own.
Going from “doer” to “leader” is tough. And what is leadership anyway?
Just because you tell someone to do something doesn’t mean they are going to do it.
How do you balance leading your team with leading yourself?
How do you ensure the right teammates get the right tasks to challenge them meaningfully yet not burn them out?
Let’s work together to create the right habits and practices now as you start your leadership journey–learning, journaling, meditating, setting and maintaining boundaries so that you can thrive as a leader and get to the next rung of leadership–and then the next.
All without burning out like so many others have. It can be done and together, we can do it.
Are you an experienced leader, AKA Middle Management?
Often this is the toughest position to be in because you are beholden to senior management and your team, balancing the mission with the needs of your employees.
This requires boundaries, an eye on the mission, a heart for employees, and a mind that can keep the boss happy while things get done.
Let’s work together to take care of you while you take care of your team, your boss, and your organization. Let’s help you develop some practices that will ground you so that you can be grounded for others, then let’s look at how you can lead your team and your boss effectively from strength to strength.
Are you a senior leader who is getting used to having a staff?
Or a founder trying to figure out how to lead a company that has gotten off the ground but hasn’t reached its full potential yet?
Just how is this done? And why is it so hard?
How do you create and communicate a vision to your organization? Just what is a strategic plan and how is it put together, communicated, and executed?
Let’s work together to see where you are in your leadership journey so that you can grow into the leader your organization will follow into what is often an uncertain future.
We will work together on your mission, vision, and strategic plan so that the whole team “gets it” and is ready to execute it–maybe even get excited about it!
